Nipper Update for February 2015

Nipper Update February 2015

Welcome back after a short break at half-term.

Firstly let us say a big thank you to all of you for your support at Frostbite, whether you competed, helped poolside, coached or just helped to carry kit, you were a credit to the club.

Both weeks have shown where we have strengths and potential, and importantly where we need to focus our efforts to improve.

Our Nipper numbers are growing again but we can only grow if we have the coaches to facilitate an increased Nipper section and with the support of our club members and parents, please don’t be shy in letting us know if you want to help.

It is important especially for our younger members to be swimming more than Friday nipper nights, their strength and stamina in the water will impact on what they will be able to do in the sea.

The coaches got together over ½ term and discussed all the above with a view to how we continue to improve, thanks to those of you who fed in some useful ideas! As we try to get the balance right between competition and in being a surf lifesaving club.

Please keep an eye on the website and the notices at Nipper / Sandhopper sessions as we’ll be making important announcements regarding training times as we start to prep for Nationals at Millfield, we’ll start to register names straight away.

Thanks and enjoy your training
